Job description

• Ensures that HSE rules and procedures are followed.


• Ensures a strong safety culture is respected on site by all personnel.


• Ensures that personnel follow strict safety protocols when accessing the plant.


• Responding to alarms and able to conduct / execute emergency response procedures when necessary.


• Maintains a log book and register to record all activities, shut-downs, alarms, inhibitions, personnel access and maintenance activities in the plant.


• Monitors and inspects plant equipment to ensure that all of the power plants equipment and peripheries are running as per design and safe parameters.


• Reports any issues or defects to the CSR to ensure that the correct actions are launched to remedy / rectify the issues. 


• Prepare data and information for the daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Profile

• Disciplined control room operator with sufficient experience in Delta V systems.


• Experience with power generation and distribution


• Experience with solar turbines.


• Strong safety culture


• Good understanding for gas processes and safe work practices in a gaseous environment


• Someone willing to stay in the position for a long time.
