Oversee operation of Commercial Broiler Farm Operation as Supervisor.
A minimum of seven production cycles per year.
Average body weight of 2kg with narrow range of 1.8kg to 2.2kg using maximum of 3.2kg of professional feed per bird within 4.5 weeks.
FCR of 1.56.
Mortality not exceeding 3%.
Low Staff turnover and overhead.
Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for pen house and farm preparation, stovking, rearing and harvesting.
Adaption of stocking densities id necessary.
Preparation of stocking calendar in consultation with head of Commercial Broiler Farm Operations, and Company's Residential Veterinarian.
Managing staff in order to enhance farm performance and cost effectiveness.
Resolving staff conflict and disagreement .
Liaising with feed and day-old chick procedures, ensuring positive working relationships are maintained.
Maintaining a high level of farm presentation at all times.
Maintaining all farm assests.
Designing and ensuring bio-security, health and safety, environment and animal welfare procedures and adhered to all times.
Operational Oversight of all pen house regarding preparation and maintenance, feeding, health and quality assurance, growth and harvesting; overall responsibility for operations of our farming estates with their pen house.
Manage and monitor metrics, Key Performance Indicators(KPI) tracking, and reports.
Other functions as prescribed by the line manager.
Requirements and Skills
B.Sc. / HND in Animal Science, Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field.
