Job Summary



  • The successful candidate would work closely with the President & CEO to provide administrative support, usually on a one-to-one basis. The candidate would help President & CEO to make the best use of his time by dealing with secretarial and administrative tasks. The candidate needs to acquire extensive knowledge of the organisation in which he/she work. They need to know who key personnel are (both external and internal) and understand the organisations aims and objectives.


Accountabilities (Responsibilities)



  • Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing of the President & CEO’s office.

  • Arranging travel, visas and accommodation and, occasionally, travelling with the President & CEO to take notes or dictation at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations.

  • Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate.

  • Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority.

  • Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments.

  • Dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the President & CEO.

  • Carrying out background research and presenting findings.

  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations.

  • Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the President & CEO is well prepared for meetings.

  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff on behalf of the President & CEO.


Educational Qualification and professional qualification



  • University Degree in Engineering or any related field.

  • Membership of professional bodies; e.g. Nigerian Society of Engineers, National Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPEE), Society for Petroleum Engineers (SPE), registration with COREN etc. shall be an advantage.


Years of experience : 



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil and gas sector, preferably upstream.
