Job Description



  • We are in searching for a Procurement Team Lead  for Tsebo Rapid in Nigeria. You will manage the efficient Supply of fit for purpose, Goods and Services to the Tsebo Rapid operational sites.

  • You will have full responsibility for the company’s overall purchases and is expected to create concrete and continuous year on year savings on the company’s total expenditure with 3rd party vendors.

  • As the Procurement Team Lead  you will design and implement company procurement policies & strategies towards the achievement of Tsebo Rapid's objectives.


Duties & Responsibilities



  • Operationalization of the Procurement Strategy to enable business growth

  • Understand the demand via stakeholder management which will drive supply analysis/strategy, supplier identification, sourcing execution, contract negotiation

  • Drive Cost Leadership & Preferential Procurement

  • Leverage Scale and Logistics

  • Manage Product and Service Quality

  • Increase Efficiency and Effectiveness whilst mitigating risk

  • Deliver Value via strategic procurement practices (Supply Planning; Policy Management; Category Planning; Supplier Risk Management; Commodity Risk)

  • Creation and implementation of short, medium and long-term goals and objectives

  • Improvement of best practice-based business processes

  • Management of business outsourcing Activities

  • Identification and realization of cost leadership (reduction, saving and optimization)

  • Adhere to all data protection policies and procedures put in place to safeguard personal data that the company holds on customers, suppliers, partners, vendors, contractors, employees

  • Develop profitable projects for the Tsebo Rapid to grow revenue and contribution targets with the Managing Director delivering those growth targets.


Qualifications



  • Bachelors Degree in Procurement and supplies management or equivalent qualification.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 year’s experience in Procurement & Supplies Management within Facilities management  Sector. 

  • Must have experience in monthly reporting and preparing purchase & consumption reports and be able to analyse savings

  • Knowledge of ERP

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Candidates with financial background will also have an added advantage

  • Experience working within a large organisation with matrix reporting lines

  • Strong planning, organizing and time management skills

  • Resilient manager who will drive initiatives to completion

  • Be able to work independently as well as good interpersonal skills

  • Database management

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and have the ability to multi-task effectively

  • Supplier relationship management through development, rebate and supplier term optimisation, and Supplier Performance Monitoring

  • Effective communication and relationship management at all levels within the business, particularly with senior regional management, regarding the specific Category

  • Be an individual who will be able to maintain focus whilst working within an ambiguous and complex environment

  • Demonstrate track record of strategic sourcing; leading negotiations and cost leadership.
