Job Functions
Event Planning and Execution
- Oversee the planning and execution of multiple events, including conferences, investment missions, and trade missions.
- Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual requirements, and other event-related details.
- Project Management
Budgeting
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to optimize costs.
- Set targets
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing events team.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure the successful delivery of events.
- Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and ensure the team's adherence to timelines.
Sales and Sponsorships
- Identify and pursue sponsorship opportunities to enhance event revenue
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote and sell conference packages.
Client Relations and Stakeholder Management
- Contribute Strategic Planning and Business Development Opportunities
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience in planning and executing international and local conferences and investment tours.
- Demonstrated success in team management and leadership roles.
- Familiarity with the Agricultural Sector and the dynamics of trade and investment in Nigeria and across Africa.
- Familiarity with event management software, relevant Project management and CRM tools.
- Familiarity with the intricacies of investment missions and trade events
- Proven Ability to network and manage stakeholders.
