Job Description/Responsibilities


Leadership:



  • Responsible for directing and overseeing employees, ensuring everyone is aligned with the organisation's goals and working together effectively.

  • Foster the growth and development of employees by providing guidance, feedback, and support counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


Strategic Planning:



  • Effectively present and discuss the services of the company to prospective clients in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding and delivery of client needs.

  • Establish marketing strategy and initiatives that drive customer growth, raise brand recognition, and engage the SME community.

  • Manage and expand partnership programs that will deliver new business relationships to the company.

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities in the SME space.

  • Develop proposals, pitches, and approaches that address the needs, issues, and goals of the customer.

  • Use sales management systems and tools to analyse marketing activity and maximise efficiency in managing marketing data on a weekly basis.


Risk Management:



  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the platform's reputation, data security, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Keep abreast of market trends, new pricing, and payment plans.

  • Proactively seek new business offerings within the market.


Financial Management:



  • Oversee the organisation's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensure the organisation remains profitable.


Client Relationship:



  • Analyse customer satisfaction through feedback and evaluate company products and services accordingly.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients of the company to achieve or exceed revenue objectives.

  • Build long-term trusting connections with clients.

  • Identify and qualify potential clients and convert them into increased business for the company.


Business Development:



  • Develop a sales plan that identifies prospects and clients by utilising knowledge of SME ecosystems and industry trends.

  • Provide insight and offer feedback on product development and competitive positioning.


Operation:



  • Improve operational efficiency by streamlining internal processes and implementing best practices.

  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to remain updated on developments in the field.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, accounting finance or another related field.

  • Experience 4+ years of proven experience working as a Business Manager, or similar role.

  • Experience in a marketplace or platform-based business is a plus.

  • Additional Qualifications Relevant professional certification would be an added advantage

  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management

  • Proven experience in managerial role preferably within the SME space

  • Social Media savvy

  • Experience working with CRM

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suites

  • Strong business acumen and ability to work independently and in a fast-paced work environment

  • Track record of driving business growth

  • Strong understanding of the professional service industry and market dynamics.

  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of the professional service industry is a plus.
