Responsibilities
Bodywork:
- Conduct thorough assessments of vehicle body damage.
- Repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure precision in dent removal, panel straightening, and surface preparation.
Spray Painting:
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired finishes.
- Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats using spray guns.
- Ensure smooth and even paint application while adhering to industry standards.
Surface Preparation:
- Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and applying appropriate coatings.
- Address imperfections and blemishes to achieve a flawless paint finish.
Quality Control:
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure the highest quality of work.
- Identify and rectify any issues with the paint job or bodywork.
Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and expectations.
- Provide updates on the progress of the work and address any customer concerns professionally.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and use protective equipment to ensure a secure working environment.
- Comply with environmental regulations related to paint and material disposal.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bodywork/Spray Painter.
- In-depth knowledge of painting techniques, color matching, and surface preparation.
- Ability to handle various types of paint and finishing materials.
- Proficiency in using spray guns, sanders, and other bodywork tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to respond to call-outs and urgent requests.
- Effective communication skills, both with team members and customers.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance in the automotive.
