Responsibilities

Safe Forklift Operation:

• Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner.


• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.


• Conduct pre-use inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Material Handling:

• Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, or shelves.


• Stack and organize products in the designated storage areas.


• Ensure proper handling of fragile and hazardous materials.

Inventory Management:

• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by documenting movements of materials.


• Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventories.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and address any issues.


• Report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to the appropriate personnel.

Quality Control:

• Inspect materials for defects and damages before handling or transporting.


• Follow quality control processes to ensure the integrity of products.

Efficiency and Productivity:

• Optimize workflow by prioritizing tasks and coordinating with other team members.


• Work efficiently to meet daily production and shipping goals.

Qualifications

Forklift Certification:

• Valid forklift certification/license is required.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or similar environment.

Safety Awareness:

• Strong commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.

Physical Fitness:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

Attention to Detail:

• Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory and product handling.
