Responsibilities

• Day-to-day tasks for a Cashier mainly involve assisting customers at the till, but they are also expected to help out in other areas of the store when required.


• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers


• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate


• Collect correct payments whether in cash or credit


• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets


• Redeem stamps and coupons for customers


• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones


• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information


• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store


• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas


• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies

Skills and Qualifications

• Candidates should possess OND qualifications


• At least 2 years relevant work experience.


• Ability to pay attention to details


• Customer service experience
