As the Marketing and Commercial Intelligence Manager you will be responsible for strategic commercial intelligence initiatives in APM Terminals Nigeria and bring new ideas and fresh thinking while liaising with internal and external stakeholders.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Bringing best in-class customer insights, competitive landscape analysis and local market intelligence to strategic and commercial teams to drive fact-based business decisions.

  • Building localized go to market strategies and activate value propositions in the terminals/inland locations.

  • Performing post-implementation evaluations

  • Providing high-level conceptual and technical expertise and understanding of commercial intelligence best practices

  • Ensuring a global marketing approach by working closely with the global commercial team where applicable


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:


CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE



  • University master’s degree in marketing, business, logistics or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an international company and a related field is desirable.


CRITICAL SKILLS



  • Demonstrated strategic focus with the capacity to shape and drive the vision and the ability to assume responsibility and accountability for advancing commercial intelligence objectives.

  • Extensive experience and comprehensive working knowledge of commercial intelligence, including reporting and analytics.

  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and liaison skills, and a well-developed ability to engage and negotiate with internal stakeholders with varying levels of data literacy and technical knowledge, from beginner to expert.

  • Extensive knowledge of business analysis, business process re-engineering and information management practices and protocols, including strategic planning processes and change management principles and practices.

  • Solid understanding of modern Marketing and Communications trends and their impacts on the business.

  • Open-minded, positive attitude and high drive to succeed and break through barriers.

  • Ability to perceive situations from different perspectives.

  • Ability to effectively manage stakeholders.

  • Experience with working in virtual project teams and working with external consultants.
