Job Description
We are Hiring for an ideal candidate who should be able to create international cuisine menus, including savory, sweet, pastry and bread and you must accurately follow instructions, excel in kitchen maneuvering, multitasking and possess diverse cooking techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to the agreed menu, with a focus on delivering excellent taste and presentation.
- Create menus encompassing various types of cuisine, including international dishes, savory and sweet options, pastries, and bread.
- Accurately follow instructions and recipes to ensure consistent and high-quality meal preparation.
- Forward plan menus and stock items to ensure efficient purchasing
- Prepare a monthly team lunch to be transported to the office base in Lekki (approx. 20 people and 3 meal options)
- Excel in kitchen maneuvering, demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail.
- Multitask effectively to manage multiple orders and tasks simultaneously.
- Utilize diverse cooking techniques and ingredients to enhance the culinary experience.
- Continually develop the menu to ensure variety and use of seasonal products.
- Shop for fresh and high-quality ingredients, utilizing all purchasing options, including the school’s procurement department.
- Ensure the house kitchen is always kept spotlessly clean and well-stocked.
- Keeping a record or all orders, expenditure, and associated receipts for weekly submission
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook, with a strong culinary background.
- Proficiency in creating menus and preparing a wide range of dishes.
- Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques, flavour profiles, and ingredient combinations.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Ability to plan purchases, including budget control and pricing of ingredients, retaining
- invoices, and recording all expenditure.
- Ability to develop menus and plan menus ahead of time.
- Strong kitchen maneuvering skills, demonstrating efficiency and organization.
- Capacity to multitask and handle a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- A keen attention to food safety and the highest levels of hygiene.
Salary: ₦150,000.00 per month
