Job Description

We are currently looking for a Farm Manager on a full-time basis. The position requires on-site availability in our Phase 2 farm.

The Farm Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Preparing plans and schedules for farm operations and ensuring efficient resource allocation


• Preparation of budget and financial reports as well as the implementation of cost control measures


• Setting up of irrigation systems


• Procurement of farm supplies and record-keeping


• Responsible for the storage, sales and marketing of farm produce


• Developing and maintaining communications with customers, prospects, offtakers and service providers consistent with the company’s business objectives


• Assisting with the recruitment, training and supervision of staff

Qualifications

• Successfully completed university studies in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science or other related discipline


• Extensive knowledge of agricultural policies and risk management practices


• Verifiable years of experience in managing large-scale farms


• Excellent business acumen


• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards


• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills


• Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
