Job Purpose

• To ensure preventative maintenance culture towards a zero down time of assets, equipment’s etc. and ultimately delivering excellent internal customer service satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas

General Maintenance

• Monitor the general conditions of company buildings and equipment to ensure high quality appearance and performance


• Evaluate needs and make repairs where qualified


• Perform minor repairs to electrical equipment, plumbing, roofing and gutters, interior and exterior paint


• Complete preventative maintenance and repair to HVAC, overhead doors, dock levellers, automobiles, and residential houses


• Follow an established service for preventative maintenance of equipment, warehouses, facilities, and company properties


• Conduct exterior preventative maintenance and other related tasks


• Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs


• Compile a log of all service and maintenance activity


• Comply with safety and health regulations


• Ensure handling of hazardous materials such as paints, solvents, chemicals, and fertilizers complies with state and federal regulations

Knowledge Requirements

• Knowledge of maintenance supplies, equipment, services and general landscaping and lawn care


• Knowledge of plumbing and building electrical systems


• Knowledge of basic carpentry, painting and door handle installation


• Knowledge of basic maintenance equipment

Job Specifications

• A minimum of any technical training is required


• Possession of any technical professional qualification is essential


• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role

• Diagnosing and correcting mechanical issues


• Regular updates of maintenance records


• Ability to take initiative and work with a sense of urgency


• Ensure routine inspection of premises and equipment
