Description
- The Marketing & Communications Lead is responsible for the execution of the company's overall long-term marketing strategy and initiatives.
- Reporting directly to the Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, he/she will be accountable for the development and successful implementation of all marketing research, campaign plans/programs, branding & product positioning, product & sales support strategies, while also strongly maintaining key industry & public relations as well as internal engagement. The role is specific to the group master brand and sub-business brands.
- Build and tailor marketing strategies across all relevant media to support the company's business objectives.
- Devise creative new marketing strategies to increase margin and ultimately revenue.
- Work with the sales and product management teams to implement tactics to maximize profit and increase market share while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Lead company and product brand positioning, service marketing strategies, and corporate brand enhancement initiatives.
- Manage consultancies and creative partners responsible for developing brand communication initiatives to ensure content is on-brand, disruptive, sticky, and delivers the desired outcome.
- Develop strategies and manage marketing campaigns (above, below and through the line) to ensure that product offerings meet expectations of customers and add to the credibility of the brand.
- Responsible for the consistency of the brand’s visual identity across all stakeholder touchpoints.
- Enhance company and product positioning, corporate messaging architecture, and corporate marketing presentations.
- Supervise and administer all company social media accounts, ensuring that inspiring, original, up-to-date, and engaging content are published regularly, following the approved publishing schedule.
- Manage and supervise all branding processes for two and three-dimensional assets, including stationery, signage, billboards, etc.
- Connect, communicate, and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals optimizing the strength of the network to boost brand growth.
- Monitor market trends, research consumer insights, and competitors’ activities.
- Organize events such as product launches, exhibitions, and photoshoots.
- Support the development of high-impact marketing magnets such as whitepapers, presentations, case studies for print and online media to help improve awareness & marketing win rates.
- Ensure coordination of effective stakeholder management.
- Present analysis of marketing data, including performance reports and campaign results, in order to improve future marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Prepare the ipNX strategic internal communications plan and policy.
- Ensure the interpretation of an authentic employee value proposition.
- Develop a disruptive channel mix to increase content interaction, drive engagement, and build loyal ambassadors.
- Ensure “a great place to work” reputation for the employer brand.
- Ensure internal communication is consistent and reflects the organization’s strategic vision.
- Support social media communications to deliver a strong employee value proposition.
- Analyze and give reports on monthly staff engagement key metrics and trends across platforms.
- Provision of strategic recommendations and tactical insights to optimize engagement performance.
- Develop and run surveys to elicit employee feedback.
- Develop, edit, and produce communications for a range of audience segments including but not limited to presentations, scripts, briefing documents, articles, and emails.
- Review and edit communications drafted by internal and external stakeholders and make recommendations to ensure messaging is consistent with the tone of voice.
- Work with creative execution teams to edit, design, and print internal publications.
- Support progressive ideas with research and experience.
- Ensure consistent framing of messages.
- Plan and schedule content and timelines across all platforms driving high reach and engagement.
- Enforce a consistent brand voice across all channels.
- Write creative, concise, and compelling narratives to promote upcoming events, products, and services.
- Publish content on the company website and blog.
- Develop quarterly newsletter.
- Ensure staff are engaged in company initiatives.
- Archive content and performance data for future planning and business continuity.
- Develop a comprehensive corporate responsibility and sustainability strategy which is aligned with the brand’s strategy and credibility hallmarks.
- Expand CSR framework to include employees and ensure active engagement.
- Amplify CSR initiatives leveraging other marketing mix.
- Identify initiatives with opportunities for direct impact either as primary or secondary beneficiaries.
- Discover events with business value and essence attributes to participate in.
- Set timing of release to coordinate with company events or initiatives.
- Identify key trends and social conversations to engage in and elevate ipNX’s brand.
- Establish relationships with passionate and influential supporters (internal & external) to grow ipNX’s reach.
- Develop impact reports based on initiatives participated in.
- Design event experiences which are aligned with the brand strategy and deliver expected outcomes.
- Coordinate proprietary events to achieve the brand’s quality expectations.
- Develop and cultivate a network of media practitioners based on relevant sectors and beats.
- Circulate press releases, monitor brand sentiments, and capture stakeholder feedback.
- Track ipNX mentions and alerts across all channels to ensure the brand reputation is optimal.
- Develop a proactive crisis management plan and mechanism to protect the brand, assets, and its people.
- Develop brand audit and maintain a consistent brand health tracker in line with brand strategy.
- Manage brand manual and ensure brand protection in line with terms of licensing and co-branding.
- Ensure brand compliance and quality in line with brand manual.
Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills
- BA/B.Sc./HND in Advertising, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, and Marketing or related field (2.1/Upper Credit Minimum).
- Professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations or the Chartered Institute of Marketing will be an added advantage.
- Master’s Degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years proven work experience in marketing and corporate communications. Experience within a group structure would be an added advantage.
- Understanding of the importance of good media communications within a large organization.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills as well as creating content that inspires consumers and drives engagement.
- Strong communication, documentation, presentation, and speaking skills.
- Embrace change and have experience in supporting change management processes.
- Enjoy working within a fast-paced, performance-based, technology-focused, or similar professional environment.
- An ability to identify target audience segments and build content to meet them at their points of need.
- Excellent multitasking skills.
- Time and project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications.
- Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix and disruption factor.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- Be a self-starter, able to work with general direction and exercise independent judgment.
- Proven experience in the development and production of creative and engaging social content.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- A deep understanding of digital marketing platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, Snapchat, YouTube, etc.
- Ability managing multiple stakeholders with strong examples of clear and concise communication.
- History of career growth, consistently meeting and exceeding goals and increasing responsibilities.
