Job Description
Purpose of the Job (Brief):
- Responsible for developing, monitoring finance policies, ensuring IFRS compliance, and implementing finance operations flows.
- Works with unit head and reports to the CFO to align processes with overall strategic objectives, ensuring efficiency in finance operations.
Deliverables (Max 5-6 Key Responsibilities):
- Prepare and present error-free monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for decision-making.
- Ensure accurate presentation of annual reports for audit certification.
- Timely closure and accurate recognition of projects; drive accounting system automations.
- Constantly review processes for standardization and compliance.
- Drive IFRS compliance and accounting treatment; manage and reconcile all General Ledger/Sub-ledger Accounts.
Demonstrate (Key Competencies):
Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Economics/Banking and Finance (2.1/Upper Credit Minimum).
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is an added advantage.
- Professional qualification (ICAN, ACA, ACCA).
- 8+ years post-qualification experience.
- Industry experience: Banking, Corporate Financial Services, Investment Management.
- Technologically savvy with ERP knowledge.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel.
