Design and administer government plans and policies affecting land use, zoning, public utilities, community facilities, and housing
Conduct field investigations, surveys, impact studies, or other research to compile and analyze data on economic, social, regulatory, and physical factors affecting land use.
Analyze data to determine and recommend an appropriate course of action in each facet of development, including project scope, traffic flow, and water and waste management
Create, prepare, or requisition graphic and narrative reports on land use data, including land area maps overlaid with geographic variables such as population density.
Ensure project feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory conformance
Ensure proper management of current infrastructure and urban resources.
Coordinate with other local governments and prepare site approval documents
Create and interpret maps and diagrams
Review and evaluate environmental impact reports about private and public planning projects and programs.
Execute other assignments as directed by the Managing Director
Qualifications
First degree in urban and regional planning, environmental planning, urban design, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Urban and Regional Planner in the real estate industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and research skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, GIS, and PowerPoint.
Professional certification in urban planning is a must-have
Superb project management skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to generate high-quality graphics, diagrams, maps, sketches, and/or renderings.
Working knowledge of web-based mapping platforms, such as CartoDB and Mapbox.
