Job Description



  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case precedents to support litigation strategies.

  • Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.

  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all necessary documents are filed appropriately.

  • Coordinate with external parties, such as opposing counsel, clients, and court personnel.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of court rules, procedures, and filing requirements.

  • Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses.

  • Summarize deposition transcripts and other legal documents for attorney review.

  • Monitor case calendars and deadlines, proactively notifying attorneys of upcoming events.

  • Assist in the preparation of witness and exhibit lists for trial.

  • Collaborate with legal support staff and provide guidance as needed.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; paralegal certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation clerk or similar role.

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and capable of producing high-quality, error-free work.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal team.

  • Familiarity with local and federal court rules and procedures.

  • Demonstrated understanding of litigation processes and legal terminology.
