Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, databases, and network systems.
Implement and monitor security measures to protect the firm's systems and sensitive client data from cyber threats, hacking, and unauthorized access.
Provide technical support for the trading platform, ensuring it operates smoothly and efficiently. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
Collaborate with developers to enhance and customize trading platforms, risk management systems, and other proprietary software used by the brokerage.
Oversee network architecture and ensure high availability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly.
Implement and manage regular data backup procedures to prevent data loss. Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity. Implement and enforce compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards.
Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and configurations. This includes system architecture diagrams, security protocols, and troubleshooting guides.
Provide technical support to internal staff for IT-related issues. This may include hardware troubleshooting, software installations, and general IT assistance.
Collaborate with compliance, risk management, and other departments to ensure that IT systems align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Manage the installation of software updates, patches, and security fixes to ensure that all systems are up-to-date and secure.
Implement monitoring tools to track system performance, security events, and potential issues. Generate regular reports for management on IT performance and security metrics.
Coordinate with external vendors for IT-related services, software, and hardware. Evaluate and select vendors based on performance and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct training sessions for employees to enhance their awareness of IT security best practices. Keep staff informed about potential risks and security protocols.
Stay informed about new technologies and trends in the IT and Forex industry. Assess the potential impact of emerging technologies on the firm's IT infrastructure and operations.
Develop and implement incident response plans to address and mitigate the impact of security incidents. Conduct post-incident reviews to improve response procedures.
Requirements
BSC degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant work experience 3-5 yrs
Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies an added advantage
Extensive knowledge of desktop technologies: Windows, MS Office, email, virus/malware, phone configuration
Knowledge of Cloud & virtualization technologies: VMware, HyperV, AWS, Azure, Google Workspace
Experience providing desktop technical support to end users in a business environment
Experience solving complex IT issues within time constraints
Experience troubleshooting networking and firewall related issues
Solid PC hardware, software and Windows operating system knowledge
Excellent listening and communication skills
Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, IT Networks Analyst
Familiarity with remote desktop applications, help desk software and IT Automation
Familiarity with Information Security Controls and compliance
Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
