Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health & Safety Engineer with expertise in City Water Reticulation. The ideal candidate will not only possess a strong background in health and safety protocols but also have hands-on experience managing water projects. Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols on city water reticulation sites.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify potential health and safety risks associated with water projects, especially in city water reticulation systems.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.
City Water Reticulation Expertise:
- Apply specialized knowledge in city water reticulation systems to ensure that projects meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate health and safety measures seamlessly into water reticulation projects.
Incident Investigation and Reporting:
- Lead investigations into health and safety incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations for preventive measures.
- Ensure timely reporting of incidents to relevant authorities and internal stakeholders.
Training and Awareness:
- Conduct training sessions for project teams on health and safety protocols, emphasizing city water reticulation nuances.
- Foster a safety-conscious culture by promoting awareness and best practices among all project stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Engineer, preferably with a focus on city water reticulation.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
- Experience managing water projects, with a strong understanding of city water reticulation systems.
- Certification in Health & Safety (e.g., CSP, CHST) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
