Roles & Responsibilities



  • Provide strategic direction and develop, implement, and monitor the goals, objectives, priorities and procedures relating to the organizational unit.

  • Direct the necessary programs to develop and maintain competitive products, performance analysis, and applicable test functions.

  • Direct major development programs for product improvement. Make recommendations as to the standardization of developed products.

  • Responsible for technical assistance to the Manufacturing Department in matters of specification interpretation, salvage and product modifications.

  • Direct field engineering activities for sales assistance, the accumulation of data and investigation of establishing more economic mooring and offloading systems and develop product specific procedures.

  • Responsible for technical information and specifications for foreign operations and licenses.

  • Promote and monitor safety of personnel and equipment.

  • Read and understand the job specifications requirements, NDT internal/external procedures.

  • Monitor and verify that NDT works are completed as per approved procedures and meets Project Quality Group's expectations

  • Report Contractor (3rd party) deviations from the approved procedures.

  • Participate in all JSA's, toolbox and safety meetings.

  • Capture lessons learned during the installation and fabrication works (inspection & QA/QC)


Qualifications & Experience



  • The Technical Manager, NDT shall have as a minimum, a recognized Master's Degree in Engineering from Internationally recognized university.

  • 10years' experience in:

    • Oil & Gas Industry operations

    • 10 years in managerial position

    • Previous work experience covering Sub-Saharan Africa

    • Extensive Knowledge of NDT technologies

    • Proficiency in English and Portuguese with Italy




Other Requirements:



  • Technical Qualifications or Certifications (Oil & Gas)

  • PCN EN 473 Certification UT -3.1.3.2 with 3.8,3.9

  • PCN EN 473 Certification RI Light & dense material additional

  • Additional PCN EN 473 Certification would be an advantage.

  • Considerable experience covering the methodology and specialist NDT (ultrasonic) Techniques.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and common E-mail systems

  • Strong Medical health & Fitness.
