Procept is currently recruiting to fill the position of Automation Test Analyst for the software testing unit, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications.

Job Description

You are responsible for the following:

• To design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality, identify defects, ensure efficiency. increase test coverage, streamline testing procedures and reliability of the software development process.

Qualifications

Education:

• BSc. or HND in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering, ICT or IT related discipline


• Fluent in English

Experience:

• Experience working in a medium sized organization.


• Experience in information and communication technology (ICT) preferably in Telecommunications, Banking, FMCG or an ICT-related industry.


• Maintenance and execution of automated test suites developed using a bespoke solution.


• Working closely with functional testers to help support them in the automation of existing test&.


• Timely documentation and reporting of defects and tracking till closure.


• Designing, developing and documenting code and packages for test automation purposes using automation tool and/or development languages Java, Visual Basic or C3


• Define, build and document the test automation framework.


• Collaborate with Functional testers and development teams to identify test cases suitable for automation.


• Execute and analyze automated rest results, identifying and reporting issues.


• Contribute to the development and enhancement of automation frameworks to improve scalability, maintainability, and efficiency.


• Implement best practices for automation, ensuring the reliability of test scripts.


• Work closely with functional testers engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.


• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.


• Contribute to the development of test plans and test cases.


• Execute manual tests when necessary and provide support for manual testing efforts.


• Identify and report defects through the automated testing process.


• Collaborate with the functional team to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.


• Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and architecture


• Support Customer Demonstration, data prep and UAT activities


• Certification is any of the following would be an added advantage; ISTQB Test Foundation, SCRUM, Agile, PMP, ITIL Foundation, etc.

Job Levels: This role has 4 different levels;

Junior                    -             Maximum of 2 years

Intermediate        -             2 to 4 years' experience

Senior                    -             4 to 6 years

Expert                    -             Minimum of 6 years' experience
