Job Description
Our client, is a boutique Investment Bank, Issuing House and Capital Market Operator registered and regulated by the Securities and Exchange. We are looking to employ a Stockbroker. As an Investment Broker, you will be responsible for providing investment advice and services to our clients, helping them make informed financial decisions and grow their wealth. Your role will involve analyzing market trends, researching investment opportunities, and building and managing client portfolios;
This role reports directly to the Manager and responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and a deep understanding of their financial objectives.
- Assess clients' financial situations, risk tolerance, and investment goals to provide tailored investment recommendations.
- Stay informed about market trends, economic developments, and investment products.
- Analyze and evaluate investment options, considering factors such as risk, potential return, and liquidity.
- Develop and manage client investment portfolios, ensuring diversification and alignment with their financial goals.
- Monitor portfolio performance and make adjustments as needed to optimize returns.
- Trading on all recognized exchanges in Nigeria
- Providing professional trading/investment advice to clients.
- Conduct in-depth research on various investment opportunities, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, and alternative investments.
- Provide clients with insights and recommendations based on research findings.
- Manage Company proprietary account
- Win new clients and generate business to drive revenue generation
- Educate clients on investment strategies, financial planning, and the risks and rewards associated with different investment options.
- Empower clients to make informed financial decisions
- Trading on-behalf of clients and management of clients’ investment portfolios.
- Staying abreast with the latest financial news and providing regular updates to clients/management on market news
- Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and ensure that all investment practices adhere to legal and compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client investments.
- Provide periodic report regarding the status of their investment portfolios.
- Up to date with regulations and changes in the market
- Reports to the managing director of PSL
- Any other responsibility that may be assigned from time to time
The ideal candidate is one with the following non-negotiable characteristics:
- Possess first degree or equivalent qualification.
- Be a licensed stockbroker and a member of the chartered institute of stockbrokers (ACS)
- Have a minimum of 2 years post qualification/relevant experience in the capital market.
- Be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite.
