Job Description
DUTIES:
- Assist in the review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounts closing such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepayment, General Ledgers (GL) open items, etc.
- Assist the Accounts Manager in budget monitoring and budget revision.
- Assist the Accounts Manager in conducting fund management, and cash flow Management of the projects
- Maintain hard and electronic files and update database systems ensuring timely and appropriate recording, safekeeping, and disposal of confidential information.
- Collect and verify information for forecasts of periodic cash flow requirements to ensure sufficient availability of resources for programs and operational activities.
- Support the operations and management of bank accounts, cash advances, and travel advances in accordance with the organization’s financial rules and regulations and local banking practices and keep the supervisor and relevant colleagues informed of any timely action.
- Upload reports monthly into the organization’s software and manages consultants' records.
- Liaise with Units to retrieve and obtain monthly financial support documents (electronic and hard copies) for all the projects.
- Processing expense requests for management’s approval, check and verify calculations to make sure they’re correct.
- Keeping track of figures by working with spreadsheets.
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance or any other related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment. Student membership of ICAN certificate is an added advantage.

- Have the ability to think clearly and analytically, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, solving problems, and making timely and appropriate decisions.
- Have knowledge of regulatory, contractual, legal, procurement, and financial compliance requirements associated with various donor agencies.
- Be experience in using computerized Financial Management packages;
- Be proficient in the use of ICT packages including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OCS, etc.
- Have excellent interpersonal, networking, and negotiation skills with staff, members, clients, counterparts, and partners.

- Be accurate, detail orientated and have good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Have the ability to work with minimum supervision.
