Job Description



DUTIES:



  • Support the Accountant in the preparation of donor project reports.

  • Upload reports/relevant documents therein monthly into the organization’s software and manages consultants' records.

  • Liaise with units to retrieve and obtain monthly financial support documents (electronic and hard copies) for all the projects.

  • Review/update the monthly procurement reports- send monthly reports to the accountant.

  • Processing expense requests for management’s approval and monitor the funds that come into and go out of the company.

  • Ensure project accounts are accurate (reconciling)

  • Receive, process, and file paper works such as; invoices, expenses, requests for payment, check and verify calculations to make sure they’re correct

  • Assist in processing payments such as wages/salary of the company’s employees.

  • Input information into a computer-based accounts system and keep track of figures by working with spreadsheets.

  • Raise travel requests (For all Travel Requests) & perform travel expenses/liquidation.

  • Retrieve after each trip Travel details from staff/from the Travel Unit for proper review.

  • Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.


Requirements


QUALIFICATION:                        


BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance or any other related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment. Student membership of ICAN certificate and knowledge of One Corporate System (unit4 ERP) is an added advantage.

The ideal candidate must:



  • Have the ability to think clearly and analytically, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, solving problems, and making timely and appropriate decisions.

  • Have knowledge of regulatory, contractual, legal, procurement, and financial compliance requirements associated with various donor agencies.

  • Have excellent communication skills verbal and written in English;

  • Be experience in using computerized Financial Management packages;

  • Proficient in the use of ICT packages including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OCS, etc.;

  • Have excellent interpersonal, networking, and negotiation skills with staff, members, clients, counterparts, and partners;

  • Be accurate, detail orientated and have good communication skills verbal and written.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
