Location: Oshodi, Lagos

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company guidelines, policies, and safety standards.


• Coordinate and ensure best laboratory practices are followed.


• Coordinate and lead group laboratory activities.


• Inventory, asset, and sample management.


• Procure common reagents and consumables for the teams.


• Coordinate maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.


• Responsible for acquisition and coordinating installation of new lab assets.


• Facilitate sending and receiving precious biological samples.


• Receive and store supplies/reagents in temperature appropriate locations.


• Comfortable with operating in a BSL2 environment.


• Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industry or academic experience


• Postgraduate Degree (preferably M.Sc) or experience in relevant discipline is ideal


• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices is necessary


• Knowledge of BSL2 operations and regulations is important; knowledge of BSL3 operations


• Strong problem-solving and team building abilities.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Exceptional candidates will have prior laboratory management experience.
