Job Summary

• The Dean of Studies will play a crucial role in shaping the academic direction of the school, overseeing curriculum development, and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development:

• Collaborate with department heads and teaching staff to develop, review, and enhance the school's curriculum in alignment with national standards and educational best practices.


• Stay abreast of educational trends, pedagogical advancements, and curriculum innovations to ensure the school remains at the forefront of academic excellence.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and achievement.


• Work closely with teaching staff to analyze assessment data and develop targeted interventions to support student learning and success.

Professional Development:

• Design and implement professional development programs for teaching staff to enhance their instructional practices and keep them informed about the latest educational methodologies.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging professional growth among faculty members.

Educational Leadership:

• Provide visionary leadership in the academic domain, inspiring a culture of educational excellence.


• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to set academic goals, policies, and strategies for the school.

Student Support:

• Collaborate with the pastoral care team to identify and address academic challenges faced by students.


• Implement support mechanisms to cater to diverse learning needs and ensure inclusivity in the academic environment.

Quality Assurance:

• Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to uphold academic standards.


• Conduct regular evaluations of teaching practices, classroom resources, and educational programs to ensure they align with the school's vision and goals.

Parental Engagement:

• Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on academic progress and offering support mechanisms for parents to contribute to their child's academic journey.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Education or a related field.


• 10+ years relevant work experience.


• Substantial experience in educational leadership, with a proven track record of successful curriculum development and implementation.


• Strong understanding of British educational standards and frameworks.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.
