PackaGo works with businesses across virtually every industry to provide a faster, cheaper, and more scalable solution for same-day deliveries. PackaGo reaches 60% of Lagos. Households — the local same-day delivery footprint in Lagos.
PackaGo is looking for a Staff Accountant to help manage the financial needs of our affiliate company, Delivery Solutions. Reporting to the Product leader, this position will handle a wide spectrum of general accounting and operational support tasks within our Finance team. The ideal candidate thrives in a setting where they balance, moving swiftly while not missing a beat when it comes to details, accuracy, and organization.
What You'll Do
- Perform various day-to-day tasks that support accounts receivable and account payable processes
- Assist with processing of expenses for both employees and drivers, ensuring all necessary documentation is accounted for
- Support with end-of-month closure, ensuring accuracy with customer invoice entries
- Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with various departments to complete necessary audits
- Obtain supplementary information for preparing financial statements
- Complete revenue-related account reconciliations
- Assist or manage special ad hoc projects and processes
What You Bring
- 4-year degree, with accounting coursework, preferred
- 1-2 years of previous accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and staying on top of deadlines is a must
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Quickbooks is a plus!
