Job Brief



  • We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer to oversee our organization's ongoing operations and procedures.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities



  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.

  • Establishing policies that promote company culture and vision.

  • Overseeing operations of the company and the work of executives.

  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.

  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.

  • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)

  • Write and submit reports to the MD/CEO in all matters of importance.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of policies, rules and regulations of the industry and government.

  • Manage relationships with partners and vendors.

  • Keep abreast of market trends.

  • Represent the business of industry events.

  • Proactively increase sales by generating new business relationships.

  • Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients.

  • Provide reporting intelligence to the business on sales performance.

  • Work closely with the sales team to drive marketing initiatives.

  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.

  • Analyze sales reports for key trends and provide weekly sales updates on activities and opportunities.

  • Reach the revenue and profit targets.


Requirements and Skills



  • Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field. MSc/MBA is a plus.

  • Proven years of working experience as a chief operating officer with a strong network of corporate bodies and organizations.

  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.

  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.

  • Exemplary sales skills and customer oriented approach.

  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.

  • Well versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual etc).

  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively.

  • Demonstrable ability to handle crises.
