Job Description

• The Accountant shall be responsible for managing financial transactions of the university.


• He/she shall be responsible for financial operations, including budgeting, accounting and financial planning


• He/she shall carry out reconciliation of accounts regularly.

Requirements

• The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Accountancy/Accounting from a recognized University.


• The candidate should also possess a Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), or ACCA.


• The candidate must have ten (10) years' post qualification experience. He/she must be able to handle financial management of a university.


• The candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel Worksheet, Microsoft Word, and any other accounting packages.


• The candidate must have a track record of being honest and ethical, and a strong dedication to following best practices.The candidate must have an excellent knowledge of university tradition and operations.


• The candidate must enjoy good physical and mental health.
