Job Objective
Human resource manager is the overseer of the human resources department and the affairs of the organization, and insurers of the functions and tasks being carried out by the HR team. They are often seen as the link between an organization’s management and its employees, as their work runs the gamut from providing consultation on strategic planning with top executives to recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new staff.
Key Deliverables
Human resource managers are responsible for ensuring that the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of human resources plans and programs are realized.
Main Activities
- Develop and submit human resources plan and procedures by 31st January annually, that relates to company personnel.
- Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the HR department.
- Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Conduct quarterly Appraisal for all staff.
These responsibilities involve achieving the following tasks:
- Revise and advice on company’s compensation program after appraisal year.
- Creating and revising job descriptions annually • Conducting annual salary surveys
- Update company’s salary schedule by 25th of every month • Developing, analyzing and updating the employee evaluation program quarterly
- Develop/ revise organizational policies and procedures
- Maintaining and revising the company’s handbook on policies and procedures
- Implementing benefits administration
- Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, including writing and placing job ads.
- Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
- Maintaining department records and reports
- Overseeing exit procedures
- Updating staff directory and other organizational charts by close of Business every day.
- Participating in administrative staff meetings
- Maintaining affirmative action programs.
- Identify ways to maximize the value of the organization’s employees
- Ensure all human resources are being utilized as efficiently as possible
- Responsible for the oversight of all employees in the Human Resource department and organization.
- Prepare and submit annual report by 20th of December

- Minimum Experience Required: 10 Years
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in a human resource related field;
- Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management.
- Bachelor of science/Bachelor of Arts in Management with a concentration in HR
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
- Master’s degree in human resource management.
- Member of a professional body. Relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
