Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Radiographer with expertise in ultrasound procedures to join our medical imaging team. The Radiographer will perform a range of radiologic and ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring the production of high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate must hold a valid license and have in-depth knowledge of both radiography and ultrasound techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Radiologic Imaging:
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal structures.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain the best possible images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Ultrasound Imaging:
- Perform ultrasound examinations to visualize and analyze soft tissues and organs.
- Adjust ultrasound equipment settings to optimize image quality and capture relevant information.
- Patient Care:
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns.
- Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Image Quality and Evaluation:
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of images by reviewing and adjusting as needed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely image interpretation.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on radiologic and ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as necessary.
- Documentation and Record-keeping:
- Maintain detailed records of patient information, procedures performed, and imaging results.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or equivalent for ultrasound procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of radiographic and ultrasound techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a healthcare team environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
