Duties and Responsibilities

• You shall carry out a pre-start check and brake test before operating the truck.


• You shall work in conjunction with other ground personnel for the safe haulage of ore and waste material.


• You shall park in appropriate areas in preparation for loading and for traffic management with other trucks.


• You shall ensure the tipping point is safe to offload the truck.


• You shall control the speed and direction of the truck and pull levers to tilt the body of the truck and dump the ore or waste material.


• You shall work with the maintenance team to ensure the machine is serviced and maintained in proper working condition.


• You shall maintain constant communication channel between the operators and the supervisor on site.


• You shall report any unsafe activities or actions related to the dump truck operations to your immediate supervisor.


• You shall wear the appropriates P.P.E. as required.


• You must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s code of conduct.


• You shall achieve targets as agreed by the mine and technical teams.


• You shall work in adherence to the mines safety rules and regulations.


• You shall perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess minimum of an SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification


• 5 years work experience.


• The ideal candidate must have a valid Driver's License Class D, E G or H


• Must be able to read and write
