About the job



  • Initiate strategies to bring in new businesses for the agency

  • Serve as a gatekeeper that analyses prospects’ risks, potentiality and viability 

  • Collaborate with Product to design new products that appeal to the target audience 

  • A deep understanding of marketing, sales and networking strategies as well as access to key industries

  • Build a robust network of prospects to foster continuous lead generation

  • Intrinsic ability to pinpoint and create strategies to reach, and successfully market to companies’ decision-makers

  • Identifying sales and services that would appeal to new clients 

  • Establish a baseline system to ensure the agency delivers on its promise of prompt, quality, creative strategies/services

  • Work with management to create business plans that help to consistently maintain a strong retention rate of over 80% of onboarded clients

  • Act as a strong soundboard system to ensure onboarded clients are being provided the promised creative, qualitative and quantitative services 

  • Compile weekly and monthly reports with emphasis on recommendations on shortcomings, revisions, insights and improvements needed on new, potential or ongoing briefs 

  • Establish a calendar system that fosters follow-ups and reviews of clients’ satisfaction levels in order to provide wellness checks (daily, weekly, monthly, and on-a-need basis) of their briefs

  • Obsessively escalate any brief issues or competitive advantage to the relevant team member

  • Work in tandem with the product/marketing team to establish the overall brief implementation /budgets/financial projections plans with modifications based on feedback

  • Creation of proposals, offer letters, pitch/sales decks and other introductory/engagement missives required for clients’ onboarding 

  • Availability for all physical and virtual meetings for initial and follow-up engagements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills [ability to communicate in any major local dialect (Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa) added advantage]

  • Provide weekly and monthly performance reports

  • Chair weekly meetings with key stakeholders on essential strategies required for day-to-day BD execution 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment 


Requirements:



  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in the media agencies 

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to upsell and cross-sell our products.
