Job Summary

You will be responsible for ideating and executing strategies that improve commercial performance for assigned categories. You will sign up global suppliers and lead aggregation efforts for grains across assigned markets. You will have a primary responsibility for providing account management to assigned off takers in driving bulk sales for the category and enjoy supply at best prices for products in the category.

Responsibilities

• Develop, grow and administer an efficient global supply chain and monitor inventory for all global products.


• Maintain all contracts, records and evaluate sourcing and supplier performance.


• Design and implement an effective sourcing strategy.


• Lead the product import and export team for the company.


• Lead product registration for imports and exports.


• Support sales and commercial teams per sourcing and procurement.


• Monitor supplier satisfaction and develop strategic initiatives that improve supplier performance.


• Consistently hit sales targets and demonstrate a track record of surpassing sales goals


• Provide leadership and mentorship to global sourcing team while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and ethical behaviour


• Ensure that company policies and procedures are refined, understood, documented and followed by department staff


• Develop and implement metrics and goals for individual staff members to ensure departmental and company objectives are met.


• Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders such as Finance, Pricing,  Commercial Teams, Logistics etc. to achieve revenue growth goals

Requirements

• Experience in a managerial role. 


• 10+ years in supply and purchasing-related roles


• 3+ years in global sourcing function in food/agro/FMCG companies.


• Experience in import, export, and regulatory compliance.


• Inspirational Leadership style and hands-on approach


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking skills
