Job Description

• Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.


• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.


• Assist in developing financial and tax strategies.


• Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.


• Assist to develop financial performance measures that support the Hospital's strategic direction.


• Sound knowledge in financial modelling


• Oversee the financial operations of satellite Hospitals.


• Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced.


• Oversee the Hospital’s transaction processing systems.


• Implement operational best practices in finance function.


• Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.


• Coordinate preparation of financial reports and analysis.


• Periodically report financial performance.


• Understand and mitigate key elements of the Hospital's risk profile.


• Construct and monitor reliable control systems.


• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.


• Ensure that the Hospital complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.


• Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.


• Timely report key risk issues.


• Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.


• Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other Finance related fields.


• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Finance Officer.


• ICAN/ACCA membership is an added advantage.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).


• Proficient in the use of an Accounting Software.


• Strong experience/knowledge in Financial Reporting.


• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
