Job Responsibilities:


Financial Record Keeping:



  •  Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records related to the company's banking transactions.

  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are addressed promptly.

  • Reconcile Letter of Credit/Letter of guarantee and ensure discrepancies are addressed promptly.


Budgeting and Forecasting:



  • Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide insights into any variances.


Cash Management:



  • Manage the company's cash flow to ensure there is enough liquidity for daily operations.

  • Optimize the use of banking facilities and manage relationships with financial institutions.


Compliance and Reporting:



  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

  • Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.


 5. Audit Support:


Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.


Provide necessary documentation and explanations during audit processes.


 Expense Management:



  • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.


Financial Analysis:



  • Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into the company's financial performance.

  • Present findings and recommendations to management.


Requirements:


Educational Background:



  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or any relevant certification is often preferred.


Experience:



  • At least 5 years of previous experience with a reputable Bank

  • Familiarity with banking processes and financial management.


Technical Skills:



  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.


Communication Skills:



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders.


Analytical Skills:



  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.


Attention to Detail:



  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.


Integrity:



  • Ethical conduct and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of financial information.
