Job Summary



  • The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet the established quality standards set by the organization.

  • The Quality Control Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining and improving the overall quality of products or services to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities:


Develop and Implement Quality Control Procedures:



  • Design, document, and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistent product or service quality.

  • Establish inspection and testing protocols to identify defects and deviations from quality standards.


Team Leadership and Collaboration:



  • Lead and manage a team of quality control professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to integrate quality control processes into the entire product lifecycle.


Quality Audits and Inspections:



  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess adherence to quality standards.

  • Identify and address non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.


Data Analysis and Reporting:



  • Analyse quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance efficiency.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance to management.


Supplier Quality Management:



  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and implement supplier quality control programs.

  • Evaluate supplier performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary.


Continuous Improvement:



  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product or service quality.

  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and reduce defects.


Regulatory Compliance:



  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and update quality control processes accordingly.


Customer Complaint Resolution:



  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to quality issues.

  • Implement measures to prevent recurrence of quality-related customer issues.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality management).

  • Proven experience in quality control, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.

  • Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Manager of

  • Quality/Organizational Excellence) is a plus.
