Job Functions / Responsibilities



  • Plan and conduct internal audits of purchase transactions and processes.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Investigate and report on any deviations or irregularities in the purchase process.

  • Identify potential risks in the purchase department and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

  • Evaluate the adequacy of risk management processes.

  • Maintain detailed and organized audit documentation.

  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports highlighting findings and recommendations.

  • Work closely with the Purchase Department to understand processes and address concerns.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to internal auditing.

  • Propose improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and controls in the purchase process.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in internal auditing.


Qualifications and Skills



  • HND / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is a plus.

  • 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in a retail environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
