Keeping all accounts files up to date, well categorized and organized.
Calculating and ensuring remittance of all statutory taxes & levies payable.
Conduct all inventory stock counts and investigate exceptions, overages and shortages.
Keeping all vouchers, receipts and tickets correctly boxed in chronological order and labelled.
Handling Bank reconciliations.
Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Cross-checking cash book.
Preparation of daily management cost control spreadsheet
Calculating and cross-checking salaries, pension, annual leave, and all other staff monetary matters.
Perform and control the audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
Lead planned audits into the organization, including organizing teams, inspecting accounts, checking compliance with applicable laws, detecting ineffective or inefficient practices and verifying financial records.
Preparing all documentation for regulatory authorities and sending correspondence where necessary.
Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
Keeping files of all invoices and accounts correspondence.
Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
Performing all other relevant accounting duties as may be required.
Requirements
A minimum of Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accounting or Finance.
Professional qualification - ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
Sound working knowledge of tax laws.
Strong financial analysis skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
