About the job



  • We are seeking highly skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team at our shortlets apartment and restaurant.

  • The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring that the buildings and common areas are well-maintained and comply with health and safety standards.

  • The ideal candidate should possess practical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Building Surveys and Mechanical System Maintenance:

  • Survey buildings to identify maintenance needs.

  • Repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.


Electrical System Maintenance:



  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, and cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels.


Installation and Repair of HVAC Systems:



  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems.

  • Conduct repairs on HVAC systems when necessary.

  • Heating and Plumbing System Maintenance:

  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure proper functionality.


Alarm System Inspection:



  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.


Manual Repairs:



  • Perform manual repairs, such as fixing locks, replacing windows, and other necessary tasks.


Pest Control:



  • Undertake activities related to pest control, including spraying insecticides.


General Upkeep and Additional Tasks:



  • Conduct general upkeep procedures, including landscaping.

  • Perform other assigned tasks, such as painting and carpentry.


Budget Assistance:



  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to the budget.


Other Skills, Education, and Experience:



  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in the hospitality industry (minimum of 3 years).

  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.

  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.

  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.

  • Manual dexterity and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field will be a plus.

  • Certified Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional.
