- We are looking for a talented Sales Manager, who has in-depth knowledge and experience with the sales process, excels at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.
- As the Small Business Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team focused on Small Businesses (< 20 employees).
- You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
- This position requires an understanding of the health insurance industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with SME clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear individual and team sales targets, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure targets are met.
- Provide mentorship and training to ensure the team’s continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with SME clients to understand their needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address client concerns and inquiries promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Performance Metrics:
- Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the sales team.
- Analyze sales data and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Develop and manage the sales department budget effectively, ensuring cost-effective use of resources to maximize profitability.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Streamline and optimize the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices and innovative approaches to enhance sales performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role selling a product to SMEs in Nigeria.
- Health insurance experience is a strong plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
- Quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and a track record of success, who can inspire the same in others.
- Analytical and strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with Zoho CRM software and sales performance metrics.
