Job Description



Key Roles and Responsibilities



  • The manager sees him or herself as the image maker and conduct him or herself as a true ambassador.

  • Ensure retainership are secured from companies. See that the hotel obtains all relevant licenses.

  • Develop menu and grow the kitchen to handle outdoor catering.

  • Coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. this includes advertising sales promotion, community relations, special sales projects.

  • Procure new and repeat business and for the hotel by maintaining contact with airlines, travel agencies, commercial houses, private clubs and professional association within the community and neighbouring markets.

  • Conducts interviews for hiring of staff to ensure staffing productivity is up-to-date with current market trends and the competition, negotiate suppliers agreements to the best value for money.


Qualifications & Job Attributes



  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum of second class lower)

  • Professional qualification (an added advantage)

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in hospitality management.

  • Experience knowledge of Calabar and its environs
