Role Summary

We are seeking a results-driven individual to join our team as a Freight and Forwarding Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless movement of shipments by air and sea, from origin to destination. If you possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex logistics landscapes.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end logistics process for both air and sea shipments, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing errors.


• Take charge of documentation processes to guarantee accuracy and compliance with international shipping regulations.


• Implement robust strategies to prevent loss of shipments and avoid potential seizures by government agencies.


• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to streamline logistics operations.


• Evaluate and select the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods for each consignment.


• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance overall logistics efficiency.

Required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics industry with focus in foreign trade


• B.Sc in Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Transport Management or any related field, industry recognized professional qualification will be an added advantage.


• Sound understanding of Nigerian import and export regulations


• In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, documentation, and customs procedures.


• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams, external partners, and government agencies.


• A results-oriented mindset with a commitment to ensuring the timely delivery of services.
