We are seeking passionate and dedicated PSS Animators to join our team, working towards the protection and reintegration of children affected by conflict and crisis in Maiduguri and Adamawa. The PSS Animators will play a crucial role in providing psychosocial support and promoting the well-being of children through creative and engaging activities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychosocial support sessions and activities for children affected by conflict and crisis, focusing on their emotional and social well-being.
Utilize creative and interactive methods, such as art, music, drama, and play, to engage children in a safe and supportive environment.
Collaborate with child protection teams to identify and address the specific needs and challenges faced by children in the target areas.
Facilitate group discussions and activities that promote resilience, coping mechanisms, and positive peer interactions among children.
Work closely with families and communities to promote understanding and support for the psychosocial well-being of children.
Document and monitor the progress and impact of psychosocial support activities, and contribute to ongoing evaluations and assessments.
Contribute to the development and adaptation of psychosocial support materials and resources for children and caregivers.
He / She shall also undertake any other role or responsibility assigned by the line manager.
Reporting:
He / She as an Animator will work closely with caseworkers and report directly to the reintegration officer.
