PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To conduct laboratory analysis of raw materials, semi- processed and finished products, to assist with daily operations and to ensure compliance to relevant standards, company’s objectives and the Food Safety and Quality Management System in order to satisfy customer’s expectation and fulfil the organizational goals and objectives.
THE JOB
- Support in developing company QA policies (Quality indexes per product) and procedures (sampling procedures & directions for recording & reporting quality data), gain sign-off on these from senior management.
- Manage the collation & compilation of statistical quality data.
- Prepare reports to communicate outcome of quality activities & data periodically.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Manage and lead all QA procedures and laboratory operations within your jurisdiction.
- Plan, conduct & monitor testing & inspection of raw materials & products to ensure finished product quality.
- Prepare quality documentation & report by collecting, analyzing & summarizing information & trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions & re-validations.
- Follow through with conditioning & production locations on items falling out of specification (all non-conforming products).
- Monitor preliminary production results by location, test and sample product according to company policies.
- Prepare a weekly list of existing or possible out-of-tolerance items for QA Manager.
- Assist QA Manager in training employees in implementing all QA standards & ensure all employees are following guidelines for QA follow-up procedures.
- Support onsite audits conducted by externa providers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATION
- HND/BSc. in food science/technology, nutrition, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years cognate experience in a highly industrialized environment.
- Experience with HACCP, FSSC 22000, food safety regulations is preferred.
