PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To ensure proper Laboratory analysis of raw materials, semi- processed and finished products compliance to relevant standards, company’s objectives, and customer’s food safety requirements.

THE JOB

• Manage the process of weighing of the raw materials and ensure accuracy.


• Check and ascertain that finished products meet the required statutory and organizational quality standard.


• Engage in Calibration of weighing balances.


• Carry out physicochemical analysis of raw & packaging materials, finished products as at when required.


• Sustain commitment to zero defect and enforce quality policy.


• Report and track product quality in a constant monitoring of the product line.


• Supervise product rework and highlight out-of-situation observations for follow-up.


• Monitor quality & stock of reagents in the Laboratory and Warehouse.


• Encourage Food Safety Implementation among all stakeholders.


• Support start up for new products or machinery.


• Provide inputs for the review of departmental Standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and Food safety management system (FSMS) documents.


• Ensure compliance with FSMS requirements in the assigned work process.


• Understand the company’s food safety policy, its objective, and the benefits of an improved food safety management system.


• Be aware of identified food safety risks, opportunities, and consequences inherent in the departmental/work processes concerning FSMS requirements and where applicable.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATION

• 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings/ NABTEB.


• OND in Pure& Applied Science, Physical Sciences or any other related discipline is a plus.

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role.


• Ability to operate all the necessary environmental laboratory equipment.
