The Summer Associate will work directly with the founder and wil be responsible for supporting activities across sourcing, due diligence, and strategic growth projects. This person will have the following key responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Sourcing: Build and manage a database of African e-commerce businesses based on investment themes, trends, and category analysis

  
  


• 
  

  Due diligence: Conduct due diligence on potential brands, including quantitative and qualitative data analysis, basic financial analysis

  
  


• 
  

  Strategic growth projects: Support founder on strategic growth projects for onboarded brands across growth and operations initiatives

  
  


• 
  

  Be flexible and open minded to suggest, support, or lead projects as they come up

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from an accredited university with a strong academic background

  
  


• 
  

  Have strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  
  


• 
  

  Have strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  
  


• 
  

  Intellectually curious and strong interpersonal skills
