Responsibilities:


Manage the Semicolon Community



  • Manage the various sub-communities on an ongoing basis through the various channels

  • Initiate and facilitate engagement initiatives for the communities.

  • Plan and coordinate internal community events to engage the community.

  • Act as a resource person for the community and support their success - identify ecosystem events that the community can participate in, job tips, bring in resourceful people into the community to share knowledge, etc.

  • Establish and manage mentorship programs alongside the Guidance & Counselling Unit

  • Keep updated on and manage and maintain an up-to-date database of the students and alumni database and maintain close connections with them.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative community by developing a comprehensive understanding of members within our community and building relationships with the community to enhance the sense of belonging.

  • Drive visibility for the community by acting as an eye that identifies impact stories that can be told to highlight the successes of the community.

  • Identify community engagement metrics and provide monthly reports

  • Seek feedback to understand trends, improvement areas, and the community's overall health.


Enrollment Support



  • Develop and implement strategies for effective calls for applications for prospective students create compelling marketing campaigns and promotional materials to drive effective enrollment calls

  • Facilitate information sessions, interviews, provide detailed program information, and guide students through enrollment

  • Ensure that the enrolment funnel is optimized

  • Track applications data and ensure to use insight from application data to improve pipeline

  • New Students Onboarding


Partnerships and Sponsorships



  • Identify and drive sponsorship opportunities for the community either with individuals and/or organisations

  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships that can help drive visbilitiy and application numbers (educational institutions, other tech communities, etc)


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Proven experience in community management, preferably in an educational setting.

  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Familiarity with mentorship program coordination is a plus.

  • Passion for creating positive and inclusive communities.
