Job Description

• The Sonologist is responsible for performing and interpreting ultrasound examinations on patients.


• He will work closely with physicians to diagnose and monitor a variety of medical conditions, including pregnancy, heart disease, cancer, kidney disease, e.t.c.


• Sonologists must have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to use ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations on patients according to established protocols.


• Interpret ultrasound images and provide reports to physicians.


• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.


• Educate patients and other healthcare professionals about ultrasound procedures.


• Administer medications and other treatments as directed by a physician.


• Maintain accurate patient records.


• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• MBBS from a recognized institution


• Minimum of 5 years experience in similar job role


• Candidate must be able to carry out Doppler Investigation.


• Candidate must have a valid Practicing License


• Professional certifications in Medical (Diagnostic) Sonography or related field(s).


• Candidate must reside in Garki Abuja or its environment.


• Candidate must be familiar with modern equipment in carrying out ultrasound investigations.
