Job Description



We seek a dedicated and skilled Child Health and Nutrition Associate to join our dynamic team. The Child Health and Nutrition Associate will be responsible for developing and implementing the non-profit programs to achieve the organization's mission. This individual will work closely with the executive director/founder of the organization and volunteers.


Responsibilities:


Program Implementation:



  • Execute child health and nutrition programs by established guidelines and standards.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.

  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of programs, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.


Community Engagement:



  • Engage with local communities to understand their specific child health and nutrition needs.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, and families.

  • Organize and conduct community awareness and education initiatives on child health and nutrition.


Reporting writing:



  • Collect, manage, and analyze data related to child health and nutrition programs.

  • Prepare regular reports on program activities, progress, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of program-related information.


Training and Capacity Building:



  • Provide training sessions for community members, health workers, and other relevant stakeholders on child health and nutrition topics.

  • Build the capacity of local staff and partners to effectively implement and support child health and nutrition initiatives.


Advocacy:



  • Advocate for policies and practices that promote child health and nutrition at local, regional, and national levels.

  • Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and meetings to advance child health and nutrition agendas.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • 1- 2 years post-NYSC experience

  • Proven experience in implementing child health and nutrition programs.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, collaboration experience, creativity, and willingness to innovate

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural settings.

  • Familiarity with community engagement and participatory approaches.

  • Commitment to the organization's mission and values.
